GCS Research is pleased to announce the release of ParcelVue 1.5, an affordable and accessible way for Montana local governments to create, host, and manage their web-based GIS applications utilizing managed Microsoft technologies and geospatial web services.

ParcelVue 1.5 is a Microsoft Certified Application utilizing the latest Microsoft server components, ESRI's ArcGIS Server 9.3 for geospatial analytics and processing, and Montana's Base Map Service Center on-going Cadastral and CAMA web-services for accurate parcel and tax information.

Having undergone recent Microsoft testing and evaluation, ParcelVue combines Microsoft's Local Live interface, embedded ArcGIS Server 9.3 hosted applications and optimized web service consumption.  A special manager application, ParcelVue Manager, allows an individual to easily and quickly manage all aspects of the GIS application, providing total control and significant cost savings across the GIS - IT enterprise.

"Our goal in building ParcelVue was to assist Montana's local governments in having a start-of-the-art, manageable GIS application that fits within extremely limited budgets during tough economic times," states Dr. Alex Philp, President of GCS Research. "Working closely with Microsoft, we were able to build an affordable series of practical tools for the local county government."

Beginning with The Lake County GIS Department as a customer, GCS greatly expanded the capability of ParcelVue, integrating a variety of additional Microsoft technologies such as Microsoft SQL Server 2008, whereby entire components of the web application can be managed and maintained easily and seamlessly as a bundled solution.  A variety of options are available for configuration, delivery, local data, maintenance, and customization, all dependent upon the needs of the local government, their business application priorities, and available budget.

For more information about how your local government can leap-frog into an affordable, manageable, and scalable GIS solution, leveraging a Certified Microsoft application, please contact Mr. Mike Beltz, VP Sales and Marketing, GCS Research, 406-532-3254, Ext. 2, or write mbeltz@gcs-research.com.
